Trainers Survey

The Declaration of Peace invites local groups around the United States and the world to participate in peaceful yet powerful nonviolent action if Congress does not activate a comprehensive plan to end the war and occupation in Iraq by September 21, 2006. In support of the Declaration of Peace, one-day and half-day Nonviolence Trainings will be needed in communities across the U.S. this summer and next fall. And perhaps on an on-going basis.

If you are interested in participating in this historic training initiative as a trainer, please fill out the survey below. You could be called upon to offer Nonviolence Training in your region if you are qualified, interested and available. There would be no guaranteed payment, rather “passing the hat” for contributions from your trainees. We are, however, working to raise funds for this initiative, which could serve to help pay for trainers’ travel. Any help in fundraising would be appreciated. Finally, a framework for a training agenda (PDF) is posted on the website.

Below is a short survey so that you can summarize your current knowledge-base as well as areas in which you would be willing to learn. As plans move forward with this Nonviolence Training Initiative, we will update you on this progress. If you agree to be a part of the Training, you should expect an e-mail from us in the future.
